I began to experiment with ancient resist-dying methods on silk fabric at UCLA in 1993 while earning my Bachelor of Arts in Design. I was drawn to dying with silk instead of cotton because of the clarity and sharpness of the results. The Japanese "Shibori" derived methods continue to evolve and reveal nature inspired imagery and pattern. I then use photography and digital editing to bring my textile art to life on the many product offerings at Redbubble.com
