The word Numinous refers to the presence of divinity. It is often used to describe experiences when a person "feels" God. My own life has been peppered with little windows of transcendence that seem to come and go like a gently flickering light. And yet, I firmly believe the numinous is always accessible in things both large and small, abstract and concrete. The Numinous is always saying "yes" to us, and each breath presents us with a fresh opportunity to say "yes" to it.
