The Brooks Range Council formed in the summer of 2012 as the State of Alaska proposed a 211-mile industrial road across the southern edge of Alaska's Brooks Range to access the Ambler mineral belt. The road would go through Gates of the Arctic National Park, but would be closed to neighboring villages and the public. Learn more at BrooksRange.org. We say No Road!
