Since 1949 Pack Burro Racing has been running in the great state of Colorado. In 2012 Colorado House and Senate voted to make Pack Burro Racing a State Sport. So it became the Colorado Summer Heritage Sport. What is Pack Burro Racing? It is a foot race that is done with a human and a burro. No Riding! We run along side of our burro from distances of 5-29 miles. We would never ask our burros to do anything we are not willing to do ourselves.
