I was born and grew up in England but my parents were migrant Aussies who eventually returned home, and I followed them. After bouncing back and forth across the hemispheres a few times I ended up in Adelaide, which as it turns out is probably the centre of the universe. I trained to be an illustrator in the UK, illustrated lots of readers for Africa, Australia, the Caribbean, the Middle East, the UK and the USA, took up printmaking, became a drawing teacher and recently discovered poetry.
