Born in 1930, William Preston was a life-long artist. In his last 15 years, Sumi-e and the classical guitar were his consuming passions. He lived many places in his life as an artist, and was especially well-known for his excellent watercolors in New England during his 30's and 40's, and for his oils and Sumi paintings from his 50's on, in the Santa Fe, NM, area.
