Born in 1930, William Preston was a life-long artist. In his last 15 years, Sumi-e and the classical guitar were his consuming passions. He lived many places in his life as an artist, and was especially well-known for his excellent watercolors in New England during his 30's and 40's, and for his oils and Sumi paintings from his 50's on, in the Santa Fe, NM, area. He died in April, 2015. More work and information may be found at www.inkpainter.com and www.mariannehornbuckle.com/wpestate
