About Me: My name is Rebecca Rees. I studied illustration and design at The Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. I am inspired by the elegance and simplicity of Japanese ‘sumi-e’ which attempts to capture the life spirit of the subject with as few strokes of the brush as possible. In my fine art work I often paint bamboo as a subject - I love its grace and beauty
