Jean A. Williams grew up in New Orleans and lives in Chicago. She is an artist, jewelry designer/maker, writer/editor and filmmaker. As a filmmaker, Williams has written, produced and directed three short films. She earned an MFA in film directing from Columbia College in Chicago.
