Susan was a 4th grade teacher in Virginia who passed away on December 25th due to complications from COVID-19. She was an over-achiever who loved her cat, sunflowers, chess, and squealing over pictures of baby turtles. Despite the added stress of the pandemic she remained a vibrant spirit devoted to her students, continually spending her own money on their supplies. These #TurtlesforTeachers mementos were designed to honor her memory and remind us to go take it slow through difficult times.
