My mother had a large collection of art and memorabilia from her years of being immersed in sci-fi and comic culture. She hung out with such people as Forry Ackerman, Ray Bradbury, Stan Lee, and Boris Vallejo. So I grew up immersed in the world of classic comic art, fantasy and sci-fi bookcover art, and the 'heavy metal' styles of the 60's and 70's.. All while I was experiencing the serious anime invasion of the mid to late 90's.
