I moved to Portland, OR from Denver, CO where I became an artist and art instructor. My artistic journey started in Ukraine when I was in pre-school learning to paint Petrykivka, Ukrainian folk art. My first images of onion flowers and birds were imperfect but the color scheme and the process of mixing paint on paper made a lasting impression on a five-year-old me. 25 years later I got back to art making because it gives me peace of mind and brings my inner child out.
