Maya was born in Canada in 1977. Her Danish parents had recently immigrated from Denmark when she was born. Both her parents are artists, so Maya grew up in a world of art & colours. Maya moved to Bornholm, a little Danish island in the Baltic Sea. It's famous for it's special light& has attracted artists to it for centuries. It is also known for it's art scene & the amount of artists per capita is astounding & stimulating.
