As a young kid, the horror section of the local video store was both a place of curiosity, and trepidation. The covers both excited and terrified me. One evening, I found myself taking a box with a painting of a shark, mouth full of knife-like teeth, rising from the depths to devour a young woman up to the check-out desk. Eery is a partial misspelling of my name. Most people spell my name wrong, so if I'm going to do it, at least I'll give myself the spooky vibes I sought as a kid.
