I received my doctorate in zoology from the University of Toronto. I also studied art at the Three Schools of Art in Toronto and at the College of Du Page in Illinois. I have maintained an interest in micro-photography and an ongoing interest in nature. I am not a great lover of technology and often said that the last good invention was the wedge. Although my preferred medium was originally oil painting, I became alergic to the solvents, and switched to other mediums over time.
