Irene Lehmann is a First Nations woman of Torres Strait Islander (Umai Buwai of Saibai Island), German and multicultural ancestry. Her love of art started early while watching her father draw and paint, later studying art in a teaching degree, then a Diploma in Visual Arts. Irene's artworks celebrate life, culture, and mother nature, in vibrant colours, and an eclectic style influenced by Eastern, Western and other Indigenous art. Irene has recently returned to spending more time on her art.
