Field Notes Illustrated

Hi! I'm Taylor Black-Bergrud, a biologist and illustrator. As a postdoctoral researcher studying stream fishes, I explore the natural world through fieldwork, lab work, and art. Field Notes Illustrated is my little slice of nature on the page: a compendium of critters, small wonders, and whatever else sparks my imagination. Most of my art is drawn from life or photos taken in the field. I hope you enjoy your time in my little slice of nature.
