Joseph Maas

Attended Park College and UMKC from 1972 to 1976 majoring in photography, creative writing and philosophy. Founded a photography and graphics firm in Santa Rosa, CA in 1986, specializing in technical illustration. Became a book cover illustrator for Addison Wesley & McGraw Hill with a focus on photorealism, eventually entering into the forefront of CGI illustration with a focus on natural effects and sweeping dreamscapes executed entirely via a unique combination of methods and techniques.
