To cope with stress of the pandemic and maintain social distancing, I wander the prairie of South Dakota. I grew up on a ranch near Shadehill, SD, where Hugh Glass fought for survival. The gravesite is now under the lake, Shadehill Reservoir. As a child and teenager, I have fond memories of days spent traveling Summerville Road to our favorite fishing spots. Having returned to the area, I revisit these memories and explore the surrounding area, capturing the scenery in images.
