Francis Dutton was born in South Australia and lived in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney for 25 years. He now lives in Adelaide, South Australia. Since the 1980s Francis has been working with found objects, and since the late '90s has been making assemblages in degraded plastic found mainly on beaches. While in the Mountains, he presented a weekly roots-and-contemporary-alternative music program, Random Groove, on RBM 89.1.
