Fantasy - a situation imagined by an individual or group that does not correspond to reality, but expresses their desires. In ordinary language, "fantasize" means to imagine, compose, present, but Golosovker in "Logic of Myth" contrasts imagination and fantasy, pointing out that scientific hypotheses can be built on imagination, but not on fantasy, because fantasy is identical to illusion.
