Originally from Monterrey, Mexico, José currently lives in San Antonio, Texas, with his wife. José has won numerous awards for his acrylic and oil paintings – most notably at the River Art Group at La Villita artisan village, along the San Antonio Riverwalk. He served as a Board member of the River Art Group. José is well known for his whimsical portraits of animals, as well as his expressive landscapes and classic Old World buildings.
