New Hot Rods Called "Rat Rods"
This had to be posted before the burned out car photos which follow. It's an idea for what could be done with the remains of the vehicle in the photos which follow this one. From Wikipedia: "The typical rat rod is a late-1920s through to late-1950s coupe or roadster with a big block chevy (rat) installed, but sometimes a truck or sedan." The Rat Rod is stripped down to its bare essentials, Wiki says. The driver of this vehicle said you wear it down to make it look this way, which is, I guess, "ratty". This truck is from the 1920's I think he said. He put the holes in it and rusted it out. He also installed the motor. It was the motor which first captured my attention. The v ehi cles used for Rat Rods are from the 1920's through the 1950's. It is an exaggeration or remake of the old hot rod idea. You can find web sites which tell you how to make a rat rod. Hey! Is this a redneck idea of a hot rod? I can say that. I come from red neck country, kind of.
