Snoopy
This series was done on screen, using digital painting apps. They allow more control and room to adjust colour and shape. Doesn't look quite right? Take a step back! It's a luxury you don't get with paint on canvas. But then, that's when you learn to embrace your mistakes. A bit like a politician post-rationalising, you can turn a botch up into a positive and claim it's what you wanted all along. In any case, painting apps give you heaps of texture beyond their usual assortment of brush strokes. While they all strive to replicate a painterly hand style with numerous types of brushes, they also have fantastic 'digital' looking textures. I don't mind adding the odd cross hatch or dot screen to surprise with an unexpected pattern.
