The Royal Standard features a lion, not well-known for its numbers living in ancient Caledonia and I suggested we should use a native creature as our national symbol
The badger, stag, and salmon were immediate suggestions from the audiences I played to … the haggis, of course, being a regular suggestion from a never-ending succession of drunken dicks who somehow imagine this is a hilarious and original suggestion
My own suggestion was a native animal which, I reckon, exhibits all the major characteristics of the Scottish national identity
Namely … The Rabbit
The Rabbit is:
A) A notoriously horny wee f****r
B) Has rather bad teeth
C) Australia has been infected for over a century with millions of the fukkers, breeding like … well. Like rabbits … so just like the many Scots there
D) And for such a small non-predatory creature has survived and proliferated magnificently, causing trouble wherever they go
Perfect … so symbolically Scottish in every way
