photographic contemplations

Hello, I’m Kirsi, living in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. My photography combines my professional craft of bearing witness with my personal practice of awareness, compassion, and mindful presence. The camera is for me a tool that helps me – in the words of Mary Oliver – “pay attention, be astonished and tell about it.” I am curious to see what opens up when we slow down, pause, and become aware; what becomes possible when we experience the world beyond our habitual ways of being and relating.
