I have been painting since 1999, when, only naturally, I got distracted from studying for a PhD in applied mathematics, and decided to something far more useful. I am frequently influenced and inspired by notion of 'the concept'. I prefer that paintings represent something that cannot be represented by photography, and I prefer photography to be means of recording images that cannot be remembered.
