I’m a Scotsman by birth, but I’ve slowly grown used to Western Australia’s quite different light and colours. I draw, I block print, but mostly, I photograph. I’ve been making photos for 30 years, from images of the girl that became my wife shot with Dad’s camera to today’s work – I shoot mainly portraiture, but I’m lucky to have time to pursue personal projects. I have a small studio space and darkroom in Shenton Park. I still haven’t given Dad’s camera back.
