Made a name first in the 80s in NYC at now famous Club 57 doing performance, art, dance, shows. Did dance/choreography in 90s, then returned to visual art, ironically after losing much of his eyesight to a major illness. Now known for intricate, haunting pen/ink drawings. Shawn McQuate is AKA AMMO for his costume and glamorous 1-of-a-kind evening wear. McQuate the Great is the name he signs on his drawings.
