Jeff Barrett is a self taught artist who utilizes a palette of bright contrasting colors with dynamic brush strokes and figurative gestures to create a style fusing abstract expressionism, color field painting, and surrealism. For the artist, the creation process is an organic one as shapes, lines, and colors emerge, allowing the painting to reveal itself. Jeff's influences include such artists as Joan Miró, Paul Klee, Hans Hoffman, Willem de Kooning, Mark Rothko and Clyfford Still.
