Big Eared Rat stands for the alert vigilance of a prey animal holding its own in a world of predators, the spirit of fruitful artistic creation comparable to rabbits' abundant procreation, and the tension between art that entertains the viewer like a pet vs. art that invades the psyche on a deeper level, like a necessary pest preventing the overgrowth of indulgence.
