One of the most impressive things to see onboard a ship is the lowering of the anchor. 60 tons of pure steel being dropped 40 feet into the water makes a big splash. Hundreds of feet of chain weighing many more tons makes a lot of noise.
Many years of use has left the anchor chain of the Wave Knight dented, scratched and chipped. This of course gives it a fantastic texture and form for photography which I have tried to capture here.
