Artist's Description

Shipwreck of SS John Randolph, Torrisdale Bay, Scotland

An old Liberty ship built in 1941 she was mined in 1942 during convoy runs between Iceland and Russia. 5 men were lost and her bow section was towed to Iceland to be used as a dock. In 1952 she was being towed to the Firth of Forth to be scrapped when she broke free and ended up on Torrisdale beach where she was borken up in situ.

Taken with my Nikon D7000 DSLR and edited in Adobe Photoshop CS5 using topaz filters.

Exposure: 4 sec
f-stop: f/22
ISO: 100
Lens: Sigma 10-24mm Lens.
