Artist's Description

Lennox was a loveable 7 year old family member an American Bull dog Labrador cross that the family have owned since he was a little pup. On Wednesday the 19th May 2010 he was taken from his family home by Belfast City Council as they believe he falls under the dangerous dogs act for Northern Ireland. The Council declared Lennox to be a breed of “Pit Bull Type” using copyright ADBA (American Dog Breeders Association) breed standards guide which the Council were never authorised to use.
Lennox has never attacked anyone or anything and his family fought long and hard for his release for just over 2 long years, unfortunately Lennox lost his right to live and was murdered by Belfast City Council at 7am on the 11 of July 2012.
Lennox’s family were not even allowed to say a final goodbye, nor were they allowed to have his body or even his collar :(
Belfast City Council have a lot to answer for In regards to Lennoxs treatment since he was Incarcerated by them till his last day. The fight Is not over yet, not by a long shot.

On FaceBook people have been paying their respect to Lennox by posting pics of their dogs with the words “I Am Lennox”
RIP Lennox April 1, 2005 – 11 July, 2012
