Red sky at night, Sailor’s delight;
Red sky at morning, Sailor’s warning.
Taken with my Canon Rebel 450D Xsi, this is my final exposure from that incredible sundown in Everett, Washington, United States of America that preceded a powerful midwinter storm here in mid January. So in the case of the old adage, the weather in this case was set for a big turn for the worse! Thank goodness we can now forecast weather reliably at least a few hours in advance ;-) The majestic Olympic Mountains can be seen in the distance. If you look closely to the right of the shot, you can see a harbor seal poking her head out of the water and taking in the awesome sundown scene. This photo is completely untouched and represents the actual sundown scene. We don’t see many like this in Western Washington.
