Artist's Description

Cocoa is a male stray tabby that I rescued. I found him shivering in a doorway in January of 2006. He has a very strong personality, as the portrait suggests. In the end he moved out and went to the lady across the street. He got a better deal there because he’s the only cat, or animal for that matter, in the house. Cocoa is a survivor and opportunist. He has a broken tail and he’s been hit by a car, surviving and doing just fine thank you. He’s used up at least 6 of his nine lives.

I’m a little miffed that he moved out, but then again I would too if I had to compete with a dog and another cat for the master’s attention.
