You Bet Your Life No More

The devil grins, saying “roll the dice,
just one more time, that’s my advice!”
In the cage your family cries,
”don’t roll those dice, please, it’s our lives!”
But the urge is strong, your fingers twitching.
Your mind is racing, your forehead’s dripping.
The odds are even, the stakes are high.
You look at the cage and drop one die.
He will not win this evil little devil!
You scream “I QUIT!” You’ve beaten the evil.
Slam you fist, awake in surprise.
Tell your family, no more disguise.
Remove all slander from your family name,
No more gambling away your life, no more shame.
Remember that dream, and always think twice
before you place your bets, before you rattle those dice.
Think of your family, your friends,
the ones you love, the ones that promised to be there till the end.
Just remember, the devil prays on the weak and the frail,
but trust in your family and friends, and you cannot fail!
