Artist's Description

The flowers were painted as part of a Vibrant Florals workshop at Sebastian Studios in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane.
The piece is titled “Two Cracked Eggs” because at the end of the workshop the two central flowers were white with yellow middles and looked like two eggs cracked into a frying pan.
You can see the Sebastian Studios on the door heading outside to the fence where you can look over at the neighbours’ place and the piece Mel (tutor at Sebastian Studios) uses for advertisement of her Funky Cityscapes workshop.
There is a fair bit of texturing in the background of this piece using PVA glue mixed with the paint. Some portions of the cloth is textured and the flowers were created using the same PVA glue/acrylic paint mix.
This is a digital photo of an original mixed media on canvas by Josh De Pasquale, September 2012.
