Holiday Gran Canaria February 2011.
We wanted to visit an authentic Canarian village, so we went to the characteristic village of Teror. It has scores of white, traditional Canarian houses with beautiful balconies in typical Canarian carvings.
On the beautiful church square rises a monumental church dedicated to Nuestra Señora del Pino (Our Lady of the pine). The church was built in 1767 on the spot where in 1481 Mary is said to have appeared between the branches of a pine tree.
On the terrace at the church square, where you can relax by the tranquility and views of the basilica, we’ve enjoyed a delicious cup of cappuccino.
This picture of the basilica was taken from one of the streets, that leads to the church square. Please take also a look Inside the church – Thank you!
