Artist's Description

This old Mule Barn was once nominated for the historical register because of its being a perfect example of an old mule barn. This is the largest old barn I have seen in the area. It once belonged in my family…on my grandmother Burdeshaw’s side. I do not know how old it is but it has been there for as long as I have lived and that has been over 73 years. They plant different crops in the field next to the old barn but this one of the cotton best expresses the old South and Dixie. The tree is a pecan tree. It is near Headland, Alabama (USA)
