A Word Without Color

She lied with her back to him, the same room, the same place. The sun shone through the window onto her face. The sex had been fantastic, better than usual.

But he had gotten out of bed way too fast..not for a drink, to quickly return…she could hear the water running in the shower, he wanted to wash her away already.

She understood, she was old enough to.

He was losing interest, growing bored.

She knew the beginning of the end when she saw it.

The sun disappeared behind a cloud emmersing her in a gray wash. A tear rolled down her cheek and she resigned to the facts and suddenly there was a colorless void.
