WOOJam has become a religion for the many followers who come along every second Monday to the EL Rocco Room downstairs at Bar Me in Kings Cross.

Why the hell do they come?
well… besides it being a kick arse, life changing, awe inspiring night some people come ta…

have a strum,
give it a bash,
sing with might,
jam along,
chew the fat,
drink a beer,
say WOO heaps,
draw doodles on the table,
laugh with the peeps that get up and have a good aussie go…
And to be a part of the underground without having to have an asymmetric hair cut.

Oh and to support emerging artists getting up and putting it out there. WOO!

You should come if you think that stuff is good.
If ya wanna perform turn up on the night at 7.30 to book in.
Players, dreamers, watchers and groovers all welcome.

WOOJam is presented by MAKEbeLIVE Productions, an independent production company propelled by the magic of the arts. The company’s artistic directors Holly Austin (beatboxer/pianist/drummer/sound techie) and Adriano Cappelletta (host/singer/back-up dancer/80’s megamix jammer), are the WOOJam head honchos.

But they are merely facilitators.

WOOJam is about the spirit of community, generosity and selflessness. People listen when you play, they cheer when you finish and the adrenaline rush of performance resonates beyond the on-stage experience.

After 18 months of continuous growth, WOOJam is proud to announce the launch of our first EP. The night is free, but through raffles, donations and a raspberyy-flavoured WOOJam auction, we raised enough money to send four artists to KangaWOO Valley to record with producer (and muso extraordinaire) Tony Dupe (Holly Throsby, Jack Ladder).

Our aim is to offer aspiring artists the opportunity to extend themselves. Many have come from the bedroom, to the stage to the studio and this is just the beginning.

STOP PRESS!
WOOJam is launching our 1st EP! Featuring artists that have regularly come down and played… it’s sounding WOOoalicious! And will be released on FEB 17 at Bar Me

What Serena Ryder had to say...

It was an absolute raucous cornucopia . a family of inspired artists. / the audience played the tables and stomped the floor and their wine or / beer glasses. / i knew no one there and instantly felt like I was in a room of old friends. / on the stage or off the stage—woojam is the place to be. / Serena Ryder
