Artist's Description

Camera Panasonic DMC-TZ19,
Killingworth, Near Newcastle upon Tyne. Tyne & Wear.
This sculpture of George Stephenson’s “Blucher” is positioned outside my local shopping centre in Killingworth, near Newcastle upon Tyne, where he built several steam engines, such as the Rocket and Locomotion, in fact he built 16 locomotives over 5 years for the local collieries in 1810-20,
Named after the Prussian general Gebhard Leberecht von Blucher who fought in the battle of Waterloo helping to defeat Napoleon.
