Artist's Description

In April 1942, 35 Squadron’s Halifaxs set out to bomb (drop mines) on Germany’s biggest battleship the TIRPITZ in Faetten Fjord in Norway.
This plane, “G” George, crashed and the crew became POWs for the rest of the war.
