Another view of the Peace Bridge, Derry, Northern Ireland. The white buildings on the far side are part of the Ebrington Barracks complex. A military barracks for centuries, with several listed buildings, Ebrington is now a fabulous cultural centre, with a theatre and plenty of space for outdoor concerts; several of which have been successfully held here in the past couple of weeks, rain ‘n’ all.
The Ebrington complex is still in development. Hopefully it will house, in future, a Maritime Museum. Derry has a fascinating maritime history, being among other things, a major Atlantic port during both world wars.
