Artist's Description

This lonesome abandoned farm house is but a stones throw from my home south of Oregon Wisconsin. I first discovered her over the summer of 2009 when all the trees were leafed out. With all the trees leafed out only her upper parts were visable from the road…so i waited…and waited…for the trees to shed their leaves and the winter snows to arrive. It was so nice to see her in all her glory. Most people would never give these kinds of places a 2nd thought. I’ve been drawn to abandoned places most of my life. They need someone to love them and with me they’ve found a friend. When i’m standing outside a forgotton place like this…if you listen with an open mind…you can almost hear their quiet whispers that trail upon the breeze telling you their story……

Photograph was not converted to black & white. It was such a dark cloudy day in Wisconsin on this day that this shot came out naturally off the camera this way.
