The story resumes…
….Very early in the morning on the longest day of the year, the silent village woke to a beautiful sound coming over the mountains to the east. It sounded just like an orchestra warming up and was just as thrilling. It continued building until noon, as if the notes from the instruments themselves were pushing the sun higher and higher into the sky. The king, deep in his castle and eating a sanctioned lunch of pickled eggs and unripe green blueberries, heard nothing at all. When the sun could go no higher, the villagers spied a train slowly descending the mountain, like a trickle of wax making its way down a candlestick.

The original is constructed of hand cut, hand assembled vintage images on a hand painted 4” x 6” x 3/4” gallery canvas and is accented with black grosgrain ribbon, crystals, Dresden trim and metal watch parts .
