Artist's Description

This is one of the last, if not THE last, BELT DRIVEN harvester/thrasher of this model in existence. The owners looked the world over for parts, none to be found. Its in a field outside Lodges Corner, Ark USA awaiting restoration. Its either a Massey-Harris( before Massey- Ferguson) or an International Harvester, its all factory, original parts, and "State Of The (then) Art. Its owned by the Kennedy Farm, which was established in 1857, and still owned and operated by them today. The owner said this is a 1927-1932 model, and there’s still a card, stating the last harvest in 1936 and bushel amount, IN PAPER ,written in PENCIL, and still legible, located underneath it! I find that astounding…it was just parked in a field in ’36!! And we have serious weather here…..I love finding these old machines. We live on the Grand Prairie, and I could just imagine this behemoth in a field. I bet it was a magnificent sight. This was taken this fall with a Nikon.
