Artist's Description

These dedicated people go all over the country doing these Circa 1830s Early American Frontier historical re enactments. They actually camp where ever they go, foregoing all modern conveniences and luxuries. What ever they eat, the catch or bring and cook over open fires. If it rains or snows, they get in their tents. Here, it was about 40 degrees at noon!!!! Its 100% accurate, down to the clothing and utensils. Some may wear glasses, but they pretty much have to for safety. They do demonstrations of their various endeavors, this particular man was making Cloth Patches, that was used in firing the old fashioned single shot Flintlock Rifles. They are usually in place for about three days average. I think I could do it for about three hours!!!! LOL…Taken at Cooks Lake Wildlife Preserve, in Casscoe, Ark USA with a LumixDMC ZS20.
