Artist's Description

These cool and strange stairs are part of the Old Mill complex in N. Little Rock, Ark USA. The MILL, was used in the opening scenes of Gone With The Wind, and the entire park is on the National Historical Register. It was built by the C. C. C. in the 1930’s (Civilian Conservation Corps, started to give men a chance to earn money during the depression). What you see INSIDE these stairs, are decades of GUM that people have left. I don’t know when the (disgusting) trend started, but the park managers have chose to let it remain!! You just have to remember to NOT touch the walls as you enter……..This stairway, arches about 30 ft over water, and is beautiful. Taken with a SanyoVPC-E2100.
